Scoping Study and Stakeholder Mapping for Localisation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the State Level in India

About Project

The project titled “Scoping Study and Stakeholder Mapping for Localisation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the State Level in India” aims to enhance the integration of SDGs into the planning and implementation processes at the state level.

Focusing on Himachal Pradesh (HP), Meghalaya, and Madhya Pradesh (MP), the study attempts to explore the socio-economic contexts unique to each state and develop tailored strategies for effective SDG localisation. SDG localisation refers to the process of adapting the global SDG framework to the local level, ensuring that policies, strategies, and actions are aligned with the specific needs and priorities of the states. This project will provide a comprehensive mapping of stakeholders involved in SDG localisation, identify priority areas for action, and other recommendations for strategic collaborations and partnerships. The findings will support state governments in designing and implementing SDG strategies more effectively.
