CUTS Campaign
Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, known as the “Pink City” is nestled amidst a scenic landscape of hills. Renowned for its tourism and bustling trade, the city still faces pressing environmental challenges. Despite being home to some of India’s highest solar radiation levels, Jaipur remains heavily reliant on fossil fuels, leading to elevated carbon emissions and environmental damage.

Jaipur has a rich history of rainwater conservation, with centuries-old systems offering sustainable solutions to address its water challenges. However, rapid urbanization and population growth have resulted in severe water scarcity issues, posing a significant concern for the city’s future. We need to tap into Jaipur’s enduring legacy of water conservation to tackle contemporary water issues.

CUTS campaign ‘Go Solar, Save Water’ is aimed to driving rainwater harvesting and solar energy adoption through policy initiatives and public awareness in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Following is the roadmap of the plan:

  • Awareness Generation and Citizen Participation
  • Pilot Installation and Community Demonstrations

  • Scaling Up and Sustained Engagement

Achieving the desired outcome necessitates a collaborative effort driven by the alignment of the individual interests with the greater good of humanity. Recognizing the interdependence of our actions, we must work together to create a synergistic impact for the benefit of all.
